Reading and sharing
Alienaward Press is an independently edited newspaper covering science fiction literature, speculative essays, indie genre film, tabletop worldbuilding, and the small-press scene across Buenos Aires and Latin America. Reading the site is open to anyone, no account required. If you want to quote us in a review, a class, a newsletter, or a forum thread, keep the passage short and cite Alienaward Press with a link back to the original article. That covers commentary, criticism, and discussion.
What we do not allow
Republishing a full column, interview, convention dispatch, short fiction reprint, or letter without written permission is not permitted. That includes copying the text into another publication, another newsletter, or a print anthology. Translation of a full piece also falls under this rule. If you are unsure whether your use counts as quoting or as republishing, write to us before you post.
Letters, pitches, and corrections
The letters section is edited by contributors rather than algorithms. Letters we publish may be trimmed for length and clarity, and we may fix obvious typos without marking them. Sending a pitch for a review or a correction to the editor does not guarantee publication. We read what arrives, but the editorial decision stays with the newsroom.
The weekly reading selection
The weekly roundup refers to editorial material published on the website. There is no newsletter signup or mailing-list registration here; contact messages do not create one.
Limits of our responsibility
We report carefully, but we publish criticism, opinion, and reader correspondence that reflect the views of their authors, not of the newspaper. We are not responsible for how a third party republishes or interprets our material, nor for decisions taken on the basis of an essay, a review, or a translation note. The site is provided as it is, and we do not promise that every page will be available at every moment.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as the newspaper evolves. When a change affects how readers may quote, republish, or submit material, we will note it on this page. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the version published here.
